Laura Banguero
Actor - Educator - Director
Laura Banguero is an actor, teaching artist, and director born and raised in Cali, Colombia. She immigrated to Miami at fifteen and later earned her BFA in Theatre Performance from Florida International University. She is currently based in Orlando, FL, where she is pursuing her MFA in Acting at the University of Central Florida.
She is passionate about creating characters through movement and music, using them as the spark that fuels emotional and physical storytelling. Her research focuses on audience engagement, particularly how to challenge and reimagine the role of the audience within interactive and immersive theatre.
She has been lovingly teased for having very few hobbies outside of theatre, so when she’s not performing, you can usually find her attempting (and occasionally succeeding) to write her thesis.
